Privacy Policy

JobSharks.net ("JobSharks") takes the private nature of your personal information very seriously. Accordingly, it's the goal of JobSharks to bring you information that is relevant and targeted to your individual needs, wants and interests; and at the same time, protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit our Web site and/or register for our e-mail newsletter. Please read this notice carefully; and in its entirety.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

In order to distribute our e-mail newsletter, we need your e-mail address. So that we may provide you with additional services as well as more interesting and relevant content, we may request additional information, including without limitation, your name, zip code, and telephone number. The submission of any of your personal information is completely voluntary. JobSharks does not collect any other personal information that you do not expressly provide.

NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may also request non-personally identifiable information, for example, annual income, buying preferences, and age. The submission of this information, also known as demographic and profile data, is optional. We may use this data to improve our site and/or personalize your site experience, in order to bring you more targeted and relevant content; and to display such content according to your preferences. We may share this information with other third parties, such as advertisers interested on advertising on or through Jobsharks.net. This information will only be shared in an aggregate, anonymous form, which means that the information will not contain any personally identifiable information about you or any other person. However, we reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymous data about our users as a group for any lawful business purpose, such as analyzing usage trends and seeking compatible advertisers and partners.

USAGE INFORMATION

In addition to collecting personal and non-personal information, Job Sharks may also collect non-personal, aggregated information about our subscribers' use of our e-mail messages and our site. This information is not personally identifiable and will only be used to find out how subscribers use our service and site. By way of example, this information will tell us how much time users spend on our site, from which other sites subscribers came, and to what other sites subscribers go. The collection of this information allows us to, among other things, prepare for traffic load demands; and to efficiently distribute our e-mail publication.

INFORMATION SHARING PROVISION

By submitting information to JobSharks, you agree that we may share such information with carefully selected vendors and business partners with whom we work. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes companies that offer affinity, frequent-user, and reward programs and sweepstakes prizing and sponsorship; and, companies that perform direct marketing services and other business operations for us (including providing goods and services to our users, as necessary to complete transactions you request). All companies that act on our behalf are contractually obligated to keep all information confidential and to use the customer information only to provide the services we ask them to perform for you and us.

To be clear, we provide services and products through third parties. These “Service Providers” perform functions on our behalf, like sending out and distributing our administrative and promotional e-mail messages. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with such Service Providers to, amongst other things: fulfill orders, deliver packages, send postal or e-mail messages, administer contests or sweepstakes, remove repetitive information on customer lists, analyze data, provide marketing assistance, provide search results and links, process credit card payments, operate/improve the site, troubleshoot, and provide customer service.

As with any other type of business, there is always a chance that we may – at some point – merge with, or be acquired by another company. If this occurs, the successor company would acquire the information we maintain, including Personally Identifiable Information. However, any such Personally Identifiable Information would remain subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

We may provide aggregate statistics about our subscribers/customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third party vendors; and these statistics may include some Personal Information. We may further disclose Personal Information we collect from you if we're required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary: (a) to obey the law or comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates; (b) to protect and defend our rights or property or the rights or property of other users of our Site; or (c) to act in an emergency to protect the personal safety of users of our Site or the public

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS PROVISIONS

As provided by California Civil Code Section 1798.83, a California resident who has provided Personal Information to a business with whom he/she has established a business relationship for personal, family, or household purposes (“California customer”) is entitled to request information about whether the business has disclosed Personal Information to any third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. Upon written receipt of a request by a California customer (e-mail sufficing), we will provide you with a list of all third parties to whom Personal Information was disclosed in the preceding calendar year, as well as a list of the categories of Personal Information that were disclosed.

Please note, however, that under the law, a business is NOT required to provide the aforementioned lists if the business adopts and discloses to the public (in its privacy policy) a policy of not disclosing customer's Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless the customer first affirmatively agrees to the disclosure, as long as the business maintains and discloses this policy. Therefore, the business may comply with the law by notifying the California customer of his/her right to prevent disclosure of Personal Information and providing a cost-free means of exercising that right.

As stated in this Privacy Policy, we may share information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To prevent disclosure of your Personal Information for use in direct marketing by a third party, do not opt in to such use; and do not provide Personal Information on our site. Please note that whenever you opt in to receive future communications from a third party, your information will be subject to the third party's privacy policy. If you later decide that you do not want that third party to use your information, you will need to contact that third party directly, as we have no control over how third parties use information once it is in their possession. You should always review the privacy policy of any party that collects your information to determine how that entity will handle your information.

California customers may request further information about our compliance with this law by sending an e-mail to:info@jobsharks.net. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year, and we are not required to respond to requests made by means other than through this e-mail address.
